Two injured in firing as BSP, Congress supporters clash in Mathura

Mathura, Nov 11 (UNI) Two people were injured in firing when a clash took place between Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supporters during election campaigning for local body elections here on Saturday.
Police sources said Congress' Bajji Pradhan and BSP's Titu are fighting for councilor post for ward number two of municipality here. While campaigning, both parties came face to face and started raising slogans against each other. As the matter escalated, both parties started fighting with each other.
Sources said that supporter of BSP candidate Yudhisthir along with his accomplices attacked Bajji Pradhan and opened fire. In the firing, Bajji’s nephew Vakil and his son Prashant received bullet injuries. Both were rushed to the district hospital from where they were referred to Agra hospital.
