Two imposters arrested for demanding bribe from a principal

Saharsa, Jan 4 (UNI) Two youths were arrested when they were demanding bribe from the principal of a government middle school by impersonating as officers at Hussainchak under Simri Bakhtiyarpur police station area in the district today.
Deputy police superintendent Mridula Kumari said that three youths reached the office of principal Vidyanand Paswan, impersonating as officers of education department in the state capital and informed him that he had been put under suspension. She said that the youths later demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 from him to ensure that his suspension got quashed.
Ms Kumari said that the principal informed about his alleged suspension to his colleagues even as villagers also received information about it. She said that a large number of villagers reached the school and started beating youths. One of the youths identified as Dileep Singh made good his escape from the spot.
