Two held with brown sugar worth Rs 5 lakh in Malda

Malda, May 20 (UNI) Two men were today produced in the Malda District Court on the charges of possessing brown sugar of estimated market value of Rs 5 lakh.
According to police sources, on Sunday night a team from Kaliachak police station based on a tip off zeroed in on the stretch of NH34 near Dariapur Baisa High Madrasa and found two men moving suspiciously in the area.
Police apprehended the two men and recovered 143 gm of brown sugar in two packets from them on the spot.
