Two drown in UP's Pratapgarh

Pratapgarh, Jul 13 (UNI) Two people were killed when four of them drowned while bathing in a pond in the Kunda Kotwali area of this Uttar Pradesh district on Monday.
Police sources said that a youth and three kids drowned while bathing in a pond in the Faredupur village. People present nearby took them out and rushed them to the hospital where doctors declared Mohammad Qasim (10) and Mohammad Shamim (18) dead on arrival.
Sources said that Shamim was bathing in a pond along with three children at around 1000 hrs this morning when a kid started drowning as his leg slipped. In an attempt to save him, Shamim and other kids also drowned.
