Two Corona patients discharged in Mulund

Thane, Apr 7 (UNI) On the occasion of World Health Day as healthcare professionals across the country and the world continue to courageously work towards proficiently treating patients for the novel Coronavirus, Fortis Hospital, Mulund after successful treatments, discharged two COVID-19 patients, today. A 33yr old male and a 32yr old female have beaten the infection and have been sent home today after successfully completing the treatment.

An official release by Fortis said this evening that the 33yr old male from Mumbai, with a travel history to the UK, was admitted at the hospital on 27th March with complaints of Chills, Cold, Cough and breathlessness. The second patient, a 32yr old female, also from Mumbai, was admitted at the hospital on30th March with complaints of Fever, Cough and Cold; she was identified following the screening of contacts of another COVID-19 positive case.Both patients were treated symptomatically in the isolation wing of the hospital. They responded well to the treatment and have now returned home after spending 12 days and 8 days respectively at the hospital. Medical teams at the hospital counseled boththe patients about home quarantine care as per the Ministry of Health guidelines.
