Two cockfight betters fall in agriculture well, drowned

Vijayawada, Jan 11 (UNI) In a freak incident, two cockfight betters fell in an agriculture well and drowned while escaping from police at Chittapur Gollgudem village of Chatria mandal in Krishna district in the wee hours on Friday.
Police said, on a tip off, that cockfights were being organized on the outskirts of the city under floodlights, the police conducted a raid on them.
On noticing the police, the cockfight organizers and betters fled from the scene.
