Two class 11 students detained for shooting at classmate in Gurugram

New Delhi, Nov 9 (UNI) Two class 11 students were detained by Haryana Police for allegedly opening fire at their classmate using a licensed pistol owned by the father of one of the accused at an upscale housing society in Gurugram, an official said today.
According to the police, the victim, a 17-year-old student, is undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital, while both the accused have been detained by the police.
The incident took place on Saturday night at Central Park Resorts in Sector 48, where one of the accused had invited the victim to an apartment rented by his father.

Delhi implements law regulating school fees with three-tier framework

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) In a major reform aimed at curbing arbitrary fee hikes in private schools, the Delhi government has notified the Delhi School of Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Act, 2025, a legislation that significantly expands regulatory oversight and replaces the 1973 fee regulation framework.
Lieutenant-Governor V.K. Saxena issued the Gazette notification on Wednesday, bringing more than 1,500 private, unaided schools in the capital under the ambit of the new law.
