Tusker creates havoc in Jari of Gumla

Gumla, Apr 26 (UNI) A wild tusker created havoc at Rudrapur village located under Jari Block of this district as couple of houses were damaged while the tusker also ate away many qunitals of paddy.
Forest Department official said the elephant entered into the village from Dumarpani in the wee hours of the day today and destroyed the home of one Ranjeet Lakra and also consumed the paddy and later the animal also destroyed the house of one Jagat Singh and ate the rice kept in the home.
Later, the animal was scared away by the villagers into deeper reaches of the forest. The villagers maintained that previous week also a wild elephant had attacked the village and destroyed homes.
