Vijayawada, Sep 19 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party National President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stressed the need to protect the divinity of Tirumala Venkateswara temple by preventing a spiritual breach from taking place at the hill shrine in the Y S Jaganmohan Reddy regime.
In an indirect reference to Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mr. Naidu said that the long established traditions at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) should not be changed for the sake of a ‘non-believer’.
The statement came amid the decision of the TTD not to insist on 'traditional declaration' from Chief Minister at the time of presentation of silk robes to Lord Venkateswara during Brahmotsavam.
