TTD to launch 'mobile app' to ease booking of darshan ticket system : EO

Tirumala, Mar 3 (UNI) To ease the darshan ticket booking system, Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will launch its own mobile app on the auspicious occasion of Telugu Ugadi on March 29, its Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao said.

Talking to newsmen here today, the TTD EO said providing better amenities to pilgrims is a never ending activity in Tirumala. We are also planning the feasibility to check Internet Lottery System keeping in view the demand for Arjitha Seva tickets which will take a couple of months.

On the lines of Rs.300 and Divya Darshanam complexes, the Sarva Darshan Complex will come up in next three months at a cost of Rs 5 crore. Since its date of launch in August 2015 till January 2017, so far 1.25 crore pilgrims had seeghra darshan, he said.

So far about Rs 8 crore worth old notes have been offered in Srivari Hundi. We have already informed the same with RBI and Government of India for further initiative.

The EO also said, very soon a Bengaluru based firm has come forward to offer 150 high end cameras to TTD to enhance the vigilance and surveillance in Tirumala.

The annual Teppotsavams will be performed from March 8-12 with Lord Sri Rama taking pleasure ride on float on first day, Lord Sri Krishna on Second day and Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy on final three days, Tirumala Joint Executive Officer K S Sreenivasa Raju said.


From this year onwards, we have been performing Managudi every month, on every important Hindu festival which is occurring every month and it is receiving overwhelming response from devotees of respective places.
