TSRTC strike enters 44th day, no respite for commuters

Hyderabad, Nov 17 (UNI) The indefinite strike by more than 48,000 employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation entered 44th day on Sunday as lakhs of people continued to suffer.

With the bulk of RTC buses staying off the roads, lakhs of passengers were left to fend for themselves since the skeletal services being operated by the authorities were unable to meet the huge demand.

Hubballi, April 19 (UNI) Niranjan Hiremath, a Congress Corporator and father of the late MCA student Neha Hiremath, who was tragically murdered on Thursday, has linked the incident to "love jihad."
Addressing the media on Friday, Hiremath expressed concern over what he perceives as the rapid spread of "love jihad" and urged mothers to accompany their college-going daughters for their safety.
