Trying to start water transport by developing small ports: Maharashtra minister

Sindhudurg (Maharashtra), Jan 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Fishing and Port Development Minister Nitesh Rane on Monday said the government was trying to start water transport from Mumbai to the Konkan coast by developing small ports.
Addressing a press conference at Kankavali in Sindhudurg district, Rane said "I want people from the Konkan area, who stay for employment in Mumbai, to come by water transport".
The minister said he was trying to develop small ports on the Konkan coast, which will help to start water transport.
