Trump thanks supporters at Farewell Ceremony

Washington, Jan 20 (UNI) Outgoing US President Donald Trump, during his farewell address, expressed gratitude to his supporters, at a ceremony held at the Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Wednesday.
Mr Trump, who broke the long-standing tradition of attending his successor's inauguration, said 'We love you. You're very special. Go home. I can tell you from the bottom of my heart.'
Trump becomes the first sitting President since 1879, to skip the inauguration ceremony of his successor. In 1879, the then President Andrew Johnson did not attend the ceremony for Ulysses S Grant.
