Trump says Federal agents will stay in Portland until police 'clean-up'

Washington, Aug 1 (UNI) President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the federal officers deployed in the city of Portland will not be withdrawing any time soon and continue to stay in the city until local law enforcement officials "clean-up of anarchists and agitators" completely.
The federal forces, whose deployment was seen by many as part of the president's law-and-order strategy for re-election had exacerbated tensions between authorities and anti-racism protesters. They had been scheduled to begin their phased withdrawal from Portland.
"Homeland Security is not leaving Portland until local police complete cleanup of Anarchists and Agitators!", Trump tweeted.
