Trump's ex-lawyer gets 3 yrs imprisonment

Washington, Dec 12 (UNI) US President Donald Trump's former long-term personal attorney, Michael Cohen was sentenced to three-year imprisonment on Wednesday after pleading guilty to a series of crimes, including campaign finance violations, tax evasion and lying to US Congress.
Prosecutors had recommended a 'substantial term of imprisonment' for Cohen, and a federal judge in Manhattan, New York, sentenced him to three years in federal prison.
Cohen's sentencing came after he pleaded guilty in cases with prosecutors in the Southern District of New York and with special counsel Robert Mueller's team over the Russia probe.
