Washington, Dec 7 (UNI) US President Donald Trump on Friday refuted a report that he still uses a personal cell phone to make calls, saying that he uses phones issued and approved by the government.
Taking to Twitter, Mr Trump said, "Fake News @CNN is reporting that I am 'still using personal cell phone for calls despite repeated security warnings.'
'This is totally false information and reporting. I haven’t had a personal cell phone for years. Only use government approved and issued phones. Retract!," he added.
The tweet came in response to a CNN report that despite the threat of interception of confidential conversations and messages by foreign intelligence agencies, the President was still using his personal mobile.
CNN noted that this also applied to calls made in the past few weeks, despite repeated warnings that such practice may make it vulnerable to foreign surveillance, The Hill reported.
