Kolkata, Aug 18 (UNI) Members of the West Bengal truck drivers' association will go on an indefinite strike from tomorrow demanding implementation of the 'Revision of Safe Axle Weights for Goods Vehicles'.
The stir has been announced by the members of the Federation of West Bengal Truck Operators Associations (FWBTOA), along with those of the Posta Goods Transport Operators' Association, who claim to have been demanding implementation of the rule for long while protesting against alleged harassment by the police, local media report said.
While the FWBTOA strike is for an indefinite period, the Posta truck operators have extended their support for two days from tomorrow.
