Truck crushes motorcyclist to death in Vaishali

Hajipur, Dec 2 (UNI) A motorcyclist was crushed to death by a speeding truck near Mujiya village under Belsar police station area in Vaishali district late last night.
Police said here today that one Lalan Paswan, a native of Manora village was returning home on his motorcycle along with maternal uncle Dharmendra Kumar from Chakna village under Saraiya police station area when a speeding truck knocked down them near Mujiya village. Lalan died on the spot while Dharmendra sustained serious injuries in the incident, police added.
" Driver of the truck managed to escape with his vehicle from the spot", police said adding that the injured had been admitted to a local hospital while body had been sent for postmortem. A case in this connection had been registered and raids were being carried out to nab the culprits driver, police further added.
