Truck carrying medicines worth Rs 80 lakh stolen

Nashik, Sep 16 (UNI) An unidentified person has stolen a truck containing drugs worth Rs 80 lakh at Vadiwahre Phata on Mumbai-Agra national highway of the district, police said on Saturday.
According to Vadiwarhe police, driver of the vehicle Lalu Ram Dhumal was transporting the medicine-laden truck to Bihar from Mumbai alone.
When the vehicle reached Vadiwahre Phata near Ghoti, a gang of four persons stopped the truck and beat up the truck driver. Later, the accused threw the driver in a nearby field and ran away with the truck.
