Trivendra Rawat meets BJP president J P Nadda

New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday and discussed various party and state government related matters.

Mr Rawat discussed several issues including the expansion of his cabinet with Mr Nadda, sources said.

Three more ministers can be added to the cabinet of the Uttarakhand government which can have maximum 12 members, including the chief minister. Currently there are nine ministers.

He also met Railway and Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and discussed progress of various railway projects currently under implementation in the state.

Mr Goyal assured state of full cooperation for ensuring speedy and timely completion of rail projects, Mr Rawat said in his tweet.

He also met Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni.

Mr Rawat visited the National Police Memorial on Monday and paid tribute to the policemen who were martyred while performing their duty.

'This national monument reminds us of the sacrifice of police and paramilitary personnel. This memorial will always be known as a witness to the supreme sacrifice," the Chief Minister said.
