Tripura to go for school timings from 8 AM

Agartala, Dec 13 (UNI) Tripura is all set to bringing a major change in school timings from next academic session from April besides, introduction of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) syllabus from Class I to XII facilitate students in extra curricular activities beyond school hours.
Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said here today the timings of 3,500 odd schools out of 4,385 schools would be changed in first phase. All the classes from Class I to XII will be conducted from 0800 hours and end up at 1130 hours for primary level and 1330 hours for secondary and higher
secondary level, which will help the students to better utilize the afternoon.
