Tripura to build Bangabandhu museum

Agartala, Aug 16 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today announced to set up Bangabandhu Museum, dedicated to founding leader of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rehman, in the ground floor of the upcoming IT park in the old jail complex here.
The museum will display the history of 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh and Sheik Mujibur Rahaman besides, century old relationship of the people.
Addressing media on the 73rd Independence Day at Agartala Press Club Deb, he said previous government had planned to build English medium college in the jail complex but opposition political parties and civil society bodies objected to it. But the left front government was desperate about its plan and had spent about Rs 20 Cr for its foundation.

Kolkata, Apr 20 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has suspended two police officers of OC rank in West Bengal. Those suspended are officers-in charge of Saktipur and Beldanga police stations in Murshidabad district. They failed to contain violence on April 17 in their respective jurisdiction.
