Tripura tense after reported sporadic incidents

Agartala, Oct 22 (UNI) A week after the attack on Durgapuja pandals, temples and killing of Hindus in Bangladesh, allegedly Hindu believers have resorted to attacks on mosques in different parts of Tripura and the protest of Hindu groups have been increasing gradually in the state, which tensed the situation further.
According to reports, at least five mosques have been vandalised allegedly by Hindu miscreants in West Tripura and Gomati districts in the last 24 hrs. There is no report of counter attacks and nobody has been arrested so far.
However, Tripura police stepped up security further in the mosques located in vulnerable zones, market places and the localities.
