Tripura teacher show caused for urinating publicly

Agartala, Nov 14 (UNI) Tripura government has issued a notice to an under graduate teacher accusing him of urinating publicly, which was brought to the attention of sub-divisional magistrate Langtarai Valley in Dhalai yesterday.
The Inspector of Schools Paritosh Chandra Deb in the show cause notice charged the accused teacher Ram Kamal Chakma of Ghagracherra high school of urinating in the open place, near the kitchen in front of students on November 12 last.
“This kind of shameful and unjustified activity on the part of a teacher is highly deplorable and undesirable and hence Ram Kamal Chakma is hereby asked why strict disciplinary action shall not be taken against him,” the notice reads.
It has further mentioned that the reply of Chakma has to reach within three days.
Earlier, Tripura government had banned open urination, defecation and littering and slapped the provision of fine on the citizens for littering, unscientific disposal of waste and urination in open space to ensure compliance with the direction of National Green Tribunal (NGT).
Despite mass awareness and repeated appeals from different levels, the habit of littering of waste including plastic items in drains and water bodies and urination in open place remained a major problem in the state.
