Tripura royal scion warned to launch movement seeking justice for slain fireman

Agartala, Dec 3 (UNI) The Chief of Tripura Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarman on Thursday warned to go for massive movement unless police failed to arrest of all the culprits involved in the lynching of fireman Biswajit Debbarma during anti-Bru settlement movement at Panisagar in North Tripura on Nov 21 last within a week.
Addressing a Press Conference, Debbarman stated, “The state government must come clear on the issue. We want the culprits behind the lynching of Biswajit must be arrested immediately. We are giving an ultimatum of seven days to arrest the culprits otherwise; TIPRA will start agitation across the state seeking justice for Biswajit”.
He also demanded action against the leaders of Joint Movement Committee (JMC) comprising of Bengali and Mizo habitants of Kanchanpur in North Tripura who had violated the provisions of section 144 of CrPC and blockaded national highway, which resulted unrest and caused death of two innocent persons.
