Tripura Minister warned puja organizers to shun atrocities maintain peace

Ambassa (Tripura), Sep 24 (UNI) Tripura Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Food Manoj Kanti Deb has warned the Puja organizers to shun atrocities and to maintain peace and amity during collection of subscriptions for Puja while attending a meeting with the organizers in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here this afternoon.
Minister Manoj along with social activist Prashanta Sinha have attended the meeting which has convened by the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM). In the meeting Minister Manoj has asserted, "Durga Puja is the greatest celebration of the people for the year in the state. But this year, some organizers have started such an amount of atrocities that people has been in sheer panic. The state government has taken strict initiative against such atrocities''.
The chief minister has instructed the police to curb any atrocity with strict hand. Further, the organizers also have some social responsibilities to maintain peace and amity. Hence all organizers should perform their duties for the sake of the rank and file".
