Tripura LF hold PM's rally responsible for Covid surging

Agartala, Jan 17 (UNI) The Left front in Tripura on Monday held Prime Minister Modi’s public rally on January 4 last responsible for surging Covid-19 infection in the state.
The CPI-M state secretary and former MP Jitendra Chowdhury alleged that PM Modi had addressed a public rally at a time when the Ministry of Health had been issuing warnings over the spread of Covid and Omicron variant, but without considering its future implication.
He stated that a delegation of the Left Front had met Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Sunday and tabled a memorandum, which expressed concern over the recent aggressive spurt in Covid positive rate in the state and demanded some action from the government including the payment of Rs 10 lakh to the Covid victim families, had announced by the Tripura government.
