Tripura journalist recovered in critical condition

Agartala, Nov 26 (UNI) A young journalist of Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district identified as Mannan Haqu was recovered in a critical condition last night from Bishalgarh bypass and shifted to Agartala Govt Medical College (AGMC) after primary treatment in the local hospital.
According to police, a resident of Routhkhala area of Bishalgarh noticed Mannan was lying unconscious on the roadside and informed the fire service around 2300 hrs. Immediately, fire service crews along with police rushed the spot and recovered him. The doctors attending him in the local hospital found him critical with serious head injuries and referred him to AGMC.
While police suspected Mannan was injured in a road accident, the family members of the victim journalist alleged that there were several injuries in his body and head indicating he was assaulted physically by some miscreants. Till the late morning, he didn’t gain the sense and was undergoing treatment in the Neurology department.
