Tripura govt took exception on non-cooperation of WB police on CM's visit

Agartala, Dec 10 (UNI) Tripura government has taken an exception to it's West Bengal counterpart alleging of the officials of Mamata Banerjee administration was failed to cooperate with the Tripura police in Cooch Behar ahead of Tripura Chief Minister’s visit last week.
A DSP ranking officer had gone to Cooch Behar in West Bengal as Advance Security Liaison prior to Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb’s proposed visit there. Deb who is a Z category protect, was scheduled to visit Cooch Behar to attend party program.
As the West Bengal police turned out fully uncooperative and ignored the ASL officer and he in turn reported to DGP A K Shukla. The police chief brought the matter to the notice of the Chief Secretary L K Gupta and in a dummy official letter West Bengal Chief Secretary was requested to look into matter. According to report, when Tripura police officer reached New Cooch Behar Railway Station on December 6 last there was none to receive him, no accommodation had also been arranged for him and the officer had to spend the night at Railway station.
