Tripura governor applauded BJP-IPFT govt in assembly

Agartala, Feb 22 (UNI) The BJP-IPFT government has adopted a new approach to re-define centre-state relations to optimize the opportunities of cooperative federalism in the best interest of Tripura, which resulted in successful implementation of various pro-people schemes, said Tripura Governor Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki today.
Delivering his maiden speech in the beginning of week-long budget session of the assembly, Prof Solanki said that the public interest schemes of central government have been implemented at rapid pace to deliver the benefits at the grassroot level.
Over one year, production, sale and trafficking of cannabis and other narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances have been reduced substantially. There has been a strong nexus among various vested interest groups, which was not only destroyed the youth force but also affected the state economy, he stated.
