Tripura Education Minister urged for quality education: Warned for least negligence

Ambassa (Tripura), Jan 22 (UNI) Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath in his day-long tour in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai attended three different programmes and proclaimed that least of negligence in ensuring quality education would not be overlooked here today.
The Education Minister Ratanlal Nath attended three separate programmes two in Ambassa and one in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur. In Ambassa he attended a blood donation camp at local Polytechnic Institute arranged on the occasion of Statehood Day and made a visit at local Chandraipara Class XII School. Then he reached the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur to inaugurate a newly constructed school building of prestigious K.C. Girls' Class XII School constructed after a cost of 3,79,00,000 lakhs of rupees.
The Minister was accompanied by the Food and Sports Minister Manoj Kanti Deb in Kamalpur. In all the programmes the Education Minister reiterated for ensuring quality education. In his speech, Minister Mr Nath said, "The destiny of the nation is decided in the classroom. And hence our government has put the Education sector as a topmost priority. In the last two and a half years, the NCERT curriculum is introduced. A pre-primary section is being strengthened. 20 schools are taken under CBSE. 30, 000 teachers are already trained in the NCERT curriculum. 135 courses are introduced for vocational training. Uniform question patters have been introduced. The teachers of the state have proved their ability and knowledge. Several schemes like Natun Disha(New Guidelines), Lakshya(Aim), Super 30, Chief Minister's Award for Meritorious Students have set." Furthering his speech Mr Nath claimed, "18 Ekalavya Model schools are to be set up. And two more Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya are also to be commissioned. In higher education, the district is to get two more degree colleges. The main motto is to ensure quality education and no negligence would be tolerated in this case. The state government not supports the political polarization of teachers but wants them to build up a strong, educated and capable generation". During the programme in the bordering subdivision, the Education Minister interacted with the students openly and tried to guess their knowledge in different issues through questioners as his signature style.

Patna, Apr 19 (UNI) Despite best efforts made by Election Commission and appeals from top leaders and celebrities, poll percentage in first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Bihar could reach only 48.23 per cent, which is 5.24 per cent less than polling of 2019 general elections in the state.
