Tripura district to get solar powered mini cold storage

Ambassa (Tripura), Aug 05 (UNI) Adding to the facilities for the peasantry in remote areas two solar power based mini cold storages are to be set up in two districts including the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here.

On 27th of July last, the Director of Horticulture and Soil Conservation , issued a memorandum bearing number F.2(7)/ TSHM/2018-19/Part/323-328 informed the matter to the respective officials.

According to it, two solar power based cold storage would be set in Udaipur subdivision in the southern Tripura district of Gomati and in Dhalai district.

In Kamalpur, the cold storage would be at Bilaschara, the pocket of lemon and pineapple production. The projects would be implemented by the National Institute of Solar Energy.

The mini storages would be helpful to preserve the products of local producers.

Bhubaneswar, Aug 9 (UNI) Amidst shutdown in many parts of Odisha, Covid tally today jumped to 45,927 with the detection of 1,734 new cases from 29 districts during the last 24 hours while 13 more succumbed to the virus raising the toll figure to 272.

Kolkata, Aug 09 (UNI) Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar today expressed his ire at the state's top bureaucracy, saying it "continues to play with fire".
'Top bureaucracy continues to ‘play with fire’ -disregarding RULES OF BUSINESS under Article 166 (3),' he tweeted. 'Administration & Police @MamataOfficial act as ‘errand boys’-employees #MAP,' Mr Dhankhar further said, adding, 'Matter of time when ‘Skeletons’ would be on street & amassed wealth exposed.'
Article 166(3) states that the governor is to make rules for the more convenient transaction of such business and for allocation of the same among the ministers in so far as it does not relate to matters in regard to which the governor is required to act in his discretion.
