Agartala, Feb 21 (UNI) Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has announced
to hold Raj Bhawan Abhiyan on February 25 next demanding waiver of loan for farmers
and small traders in the state.
TPCC president Birjit Sinha and Working president royal scion Pradyot Kishore
Debbarman in a joint press conference today said that the party will placed deputation
to Governor in favour of their demands and before the deputation, Congress will hold
a mega rally of it’s tribal women wing in the city.
They said that thousands of Congress workers will converge on the capital city and
head for the Raj Bhawan in presence of senior AICC leaders.
AICC's Kishan wing president Nana Patoli, a turncoat who defected from BJP and
other leaders of the party are expected to participate in the agitation.
Pradyot Kishore said, “‘we are unitedly in our fight against Modi government as
during their regime the conditions of country's farmers are deteriorating day by day.
Our fight against Citizenship Amendment Bill will continue across the Northeast and
we will go door to door to make people aware against the unconstitutional move of
the Modi government.”
During the Raj Bhavan Abhiyan Congress will organize a rally near Pushpabanta
palace area of the city, then a delegation will meet Governor to submit their
memorandum for Prime Minister, he stated adding that Modi government has not
been doing enough for the marginal farmers who were under severe debt burden.
