Tripura CM applauds success on statehood day

Agartala, Jan 21 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today urged the citizens to take resolution to work together for achieving the mission to make the state a role model of development before the nation on the occasion of 47th statehood day.
Addressing the central program of the celebration Deb remembered the colourful journey of Tripura from monarchy to democracy towards development. Highlighting the development of 10 months old BJP-IPFT government in the state, he mentioned that works have been carried out in last few months for transforming Tripura was a long due for the people but earlier governments never even realized it.
“Tripura could have been a hub of tourism, healthcare, quality education and developed natural resource base industries in the state but nobody thinks in that line. As a result, still we are dependent on the Central government in terms of everything and despite having huge potential and resource base Tripura is still suffering from the tag of backwardness only because of the lack of political will of the previous government,” Deb commented.
