Tripura becomes 2nd in energy conservation initiative

Agartala, Dec 15 (UNI) Tripura has secured its position on the national energy map by achieving a significant milestone in energy conservation and efficiency, as Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) has been nationally recognised for its consistent performance in sustainable power management.
Tripura has achieved another feat by claiming second place in the Group-5 category in 2025 after securing the top rank in the Group-4 category at the National Energy Conservation Awards in 2024. This consecutive success is being celebrated as a major accomplishment for the small north-eastern state, showcasing its dedicated efforts toward energy efficiency and responsible power usage.
President Droupadi Murmu presented the award to TSECL’s Technical Director, Dr. Subir Sen, and Seema Das, AGM and Nodal Officer of the State Designated Agency under the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) program in Delhi yesterday, said state Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

406 people donate blood at camp organised at Lok Bhavan on Jharkhand Governor’s directions

Ranchi, Jan 12 (UNI) On the directions of the Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, a Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jharkhand State Branch, at Birsa Mandap, Lok Bhavan, Ranchi, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and visionary Swami Vivekananda (National Youth Day). A total of 406 people voluntarily donated blood during the camp.
