Tripura bamboo products on GeM

Agartala, Jun 25 (UNI) In an attempt to boost marketing opportunity for exquisite bamboo and cane crafts of Tripura, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb launched e-marketing facility for Bamboo artisans and focused on enhanced market-visibility and global reach for the Bamboo products.
The bamboo products of Tripura have got space in Government e-Marketplace (GeM), so that the customers across the globe can get access to the products in online platform. Deb focused on opportunities available in bamboo based industry. He also stressed on utilizing residual portion of after-use bamboo.
Deb suggested the artisans to prepare exquisite artworks keeping in mind contemporary trends and people’s tastes and added, “With the more Bamboo items would be sold at national and international markets, the more artisans will earn. It will also increase revenues for the State”.
