Tripping of OHE at Kanpur affects Shatabadi Express

Kanpur, Sep 20 (UNI) A major mishap was averted for the VVIP New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabadi Express train near Kanpur central station, when a small blast occurred after tripping of the Over Head Equipment (OHE) on Thursday.

According to sources here, the train was going towards Lucknow. At around 1125 hrs, suddenly its engine was entangled with a kite, having flown by wires. This led to a blast on the OHE, tripping the power supply.



The tripping was rectified after 20 minutes and the train was stranded. Due to the tripping, several trains were delayed, sources added.
