Rampur, Sep 20 (UNI) Samajwadi Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh Minister Mohammad Azam Khan has termed the promulgation of the Ordinance on Triple Talaq as just a political agenda for the coming 2019 Lok Sabha polls, raised by the BJP.
"Allah is the supreme and no law can counter his punishment. But we will obey by the law made by Allah and if the Ordinance was made under its preview, then there is no problem," he said.
But bringing the Ordinance at a time when the government was in its last phase, shows its political conspiracy before the Lok Sabha polls, he added.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday night, the SP leader alleged RSS only wants 'harassment' of the Muslims and the Gujarat riots along with other 'decisions of the BJP governments proves the charges'.
Reacting to the RSS claim that Muslim are the part of their Hindu rashtra, he said, "I just want to question whether the killing of Muslim would strengthen the country."
