Triple Talaq: Govt will not make any new law, existing sufficient, says Law Minister

New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today described the Supreme Court verdict declaring instant triple talaq unconstitutional, as a victory of Constitutional values, but ruled out making any new law.
There were enough laws to deal with any domestic violence to women and no separate law was needed to enforce the verdict, Mr Prasad said when reporters asked whether the government would in the light of Chief Justice J S Khehar, go for framing a new law.
The government would study the whole issue with a very constructive and structured approach, he said.
