Aurangabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Floral tributes were paid to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and India's second prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on the occasion of their birth anniversaries in the Marathwada region here on Sunday.
At a function held at in front of Gandhi statue at Shaganj locality here, the Congress city district president Yousuf Leader among others Congress leaders, office-bears paid tributes to both by garlanding their photographs.

The government offices across the region including Divisional Commissioner's office here and all the offices of eight District Collectors across the region also paid homage to them.

Similar functions were held in seven districts in Marathwada region.
