Treason case against Bhim Army spokesperson in Saharanpur

Saharanpur, Aug 14 (UNI) A case was registered under treason charges against Bhim Army spokesperson Manjeet Nautiyal for passing derogatory comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Superintendent of police (City) Vineet Bhatnagar here on Wednesday said case was registered against Bhim Army leader for passing derogatory comments against PM Modi. Manjeet Nautiyal had threatened that PM Modi should remember what happened with Indira Gandhi.

Bhim army leader was addressing a gathering in protest for vandalization of 600-year-old Ravidass temple by Delhi development authority. He said if statue of Sant Ravidass is not be fixed at that place before August 21, thousands of Bhim army workers will move towards Delhi and protest against the government.

Additional director general of police (Meerut zone) Prashant Kumar and deputy Inspector general (Saharanpur range Upendra Agarwal had instructed SSP Saharanpur to take action in this matter.

Mr Bhatnagar said the case was registered against Manjeet Nautiyal under treason charges in Behat Kotwali police station. Bhim army workers protested against police administration following action against its party leader.
