Train climbs on platform in Mathura

Mathura (UP), Sep 27 (UNI) In a freak incident the passengers have a narrow escape after an EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) train between Shakur Basti and Mathura climbed on a platform of Mathura Junction of North Central Railway here in Uttar Pradesh, official sources said here on Wednesday.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) said that Shakur Basti-Mathura EMU reached Mathura Junction at 10.50 pm on Tuesday night. "After all the passengers and loco staff got down from it, the train started moving on its and climbed onto platform number 2A. After moving a few meters it stopped on its own," he said.
He said that movement of the trains on the line was affected due to damage to Over Head Equipment-Cantilever (OHE).

Seven students not arrested under UAPA merely for raising pro-Pak slogans: JK Police

Srinagar, Nov 28 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday said that the seven University students held in Ganderbal district after the Cricket World Cup final have not been arrested “merely for raising pro-Pakistan slogans but in full context in which the sloganeering took place.”

The Police also defended booking the seven students of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) saying section 13 of Act is about inciting, advocating and encouraging separatist ideology and not about terrorism.
