New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) The trailer of India’s first truly multilingual film and one of the biggest films from the Northeast, 'III Smoking Barrels' was recently released digitally by the makers of the film.
Within just few days since its launch, the trailer has received a phenomenal response from the audience across the digital platforms.
With the trailer already having crossed more than one million views across digital platforms, it has gone on to become one of the most viewed multilingual film trailers.
Writer-director Sanjib Dey says, “It is a rare sight for a multilingual film to receive this kind of love and appreciation from the audience. I’m honestly thrilled with the response we have received. 'III Smoking Barrels' is very close to our hearts for more reasons than one.”
“We as a team have sacrificed a lot and have been through numerous troubles and difficulties through the process of making this film. And to see our film getting this kind of appreciation is really overwhelming,” Sanjib said.
'III Smoking Barrels' which has been shot on a grand visual scale across three international borders beautifully intertwines three issues that beset the Northeast India, namely, children involved in armed conflicts, drug addiction and abuse which is a big threat to Indian youth and animal poaching and the necessity of wild life conservation with each of them exploring a different stage of human life.
Starring Indraneil Sengupta, Subrat Dutta, Shiny Gogoi, Siddharth Boro, Mandakini Goswami and Amrita Chattopadhyay among others, produced by Amit Malpani and written and directed by Sanjib Dey, 'III Smoking Barrels' releases on September 21.
