Traders staged protest before urban body: Demanded for regular trading

Ambassa (Tripura), Aug 6 (UNI) In a fix, at least a hundred local traders staged protest before the local urban body of Ambassa Municipal Council demanding for permission to start trading regularly even for some hours a day in the subdivision of Ambassa in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here today.
The merchants of local markets continued to suffer as they could not continue their trading due to COVID-19 lockdown. Now, in unlock phase in the state, their fate not changed. Upset with traumatised condition with no earning, they staged protest before the Council office today.
One of the agitators identified as Uttam Saha said, "Our shops are our only means of earning and for months we are without income. The government provided us with many facilities but those cannot solve all problems and as the unlock phase has started so we want to open our shops at least for some hours a day".
