Trade Unions' ultimatum for nationwide indefinite strike

New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) Ten central trade unions and independent federations on Saturday gave an ultimatum that they will go for a nationwide indefinite strike if the Central Government continues with its ''anti-worker and anti-people'' policies.
In a declaration, as a follow up of ‘Mahapadav’, as the three-day dharna is being called, held at the national capital, the joint trade union platform said that it will observe district level satyagraha in the last week of January 2018 and will call for strike in sectoral /industry level whenever the government takes steps towards the measures aimed at privatisation.
“If the Government does not change its attitude, the Central Trade Unions will be forced to opt for a country wide national indefinite strike”, the declaration said.
