New Delhi, Jan 26 (UNI) The protesting farmers who entered Delhi to demonstrate against the three contentious farm laws have reached the ITO located at the Central Delhi.
As per reports, the farmers broke the barricades that were placed near the Delhi police headquarters. To push back the agitators, the police used tear gas shells, which proved futile.
DMRC informed that the entry/exit gates of Samaypur Badli, Rohini Sector 18/19, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Jahangir Puri, Adarsh Nagar, Azadpur, Model Town, GTB Nagar, Vishwavidyalaya, Vidhan Sabha and Civil Lines have been shut.
As per the plan approved by the police, the farmers were allowed to take a march at three circular routes from Ghazipur, Singhu and Tikri border only after the Republic Day parade at Rajpath, however, the farmers decided to march much ahead of the time they were granted permission by the Delhi Police.
