Srinagar, Sep 18 (UNI) Army personnel involved in killing of three people in July Shopian encounter have exceeded their powers vested under the Armed Forces Special Powers (AFSP) Act, a Defence Ministry spokesman said on Friday evening here.

Chennai, Sep 18 (UNI) Tamil Nadu reported 5,488 new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday, taking the cumulative tally of infections to 5,30,908 while the death toll related to the virus increased to 8,685 with 67 more fatalities.
