Total curfew in Beed

Beed, May 28 (UNI) After it came to the notice of administration that a COVID-19 positive patient has infected many people in the city and its 12 surrounding villages, collector Rahul Rekhawar has imposed a complete curfew under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) from Thursday till afternoon of June 4.
Moreover, to prevent its recurrence, containment zones have been declared in all these concerned areas, the order stated.
The patient, hailing from Karegaon in Patoda taluka, was found infected with the coronavirus and while investigating him, he came in direct and indirect contact with a large number of people in the Beed city and in some rural areas surrounding it, according to a report by the district Health officer.
