Kolhapur, Dec 7 (UNI) Total 12 foreign films from different countries, including Iran, Afghanistan,
Bangladesh, Vietnam, France and others will participate in 6th Kolhapur International Film Festival,
which will be held at Shahu Smarak Bhavan from December 14 to 21, with the association of
Kalamaharshee Baburao Painter Film Society, All India Marathi Film Industry and state government.
In a press conference, film society's secretary Deelip Bapat said foreign films, including, 'The house
of the fortyfirst street Night shift, Haura, Talking with the wind, Bhagshesh, Letter to the president,
Second meeting, and others will participate in world section while six films in different languages will
screen in Vividh Bharti and unreleased Marathi films, including Pimpal, Copy, Sarvnam, Dry? Day, will
also screen in 'May Marathi' section.'
Mr Bapat said Hindi film producer and director Subhash Ghai will inaugurate the eight days long
film festival on December 14.
He would also organise a film workshop for college students and film artists on the same day.
