Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 11 2016 9:33PM Toppers scam kingpin Amit Kumar surrenders; quizzed by SITPatna, Jun 11 (UNI) Bihar intermediate examination toppers scam kingpin Amit Kumar aka Baccha Rai, who was arrested following his surrender in Vaishali today, was brought here for questioning by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with the scandal. Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj, who is heading the SIT, told UNI that he was being quizzed at undisclosed location to get to the bottom of the scam. He, however, refused to divulge the details saying it would hamper the probe. The scam kingpin would be sent to jail tomorrow after his production before a local court. Five people, including two employees of Bihar School Examination Board(BSEB), who were arrested from Vaishali and Patna, have already been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. Kumar had earlier made a dramatic appearance outside the dubious Vishun Deo Rai college of which he is the Prinicipal-cum-Director by first informing the media about his plans to surrender. Later, he virtually walked into the hands of waiting police teams from Vaishali and SIT. An officer associated with the SIT said Kumar had been asked about whereabouts of absconding former Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, who is one of the main accused in the toppers scam.
